Jashim Salam is a freelance- journalist, photographer, photography editor and curator. He studied photography at Pathshala, The South Asian Institute of Photography and Media Academy. The photographer completed his post study in Visual Journalism at Ateneo De Manila University in Philippines.
Represented by ZUMA press in USA, the photographer also worked for New Age (an English daily of Bangladesh), DrikNews, Demotix, Drik Picture Agency, Majority World, Nur Photo Agency, and Corbis Images.
Jashim Salam has been covering wide range of photographic assignments for national and international press, magazine, news agency, NGO, corporates. He is giving lectures in photography and organizing workshops and seminars to inspire young photographers and consulting many photographers .
He is co-founder of ABSURD photo agency in Dhaka, Bangladesh and also founder of Chittagong Institute of Photography (CIP) in Chittagong, Bangladesh.
